GK MACHINE TO HOST MANUFACTURING DAY EVENT ON OCTOBER 4, 2019
Program Designed to Expand Knowledge of Manufacturing, Improve Public Perception of Manufacturing Career Opportunities in Oregon
In celebration of National Manufacturing Day, GK Machine in Donald Oregon will open its doors on Friday October 4, 2019 from 8:30 am to 12 noon, to more than 300 students from surrounding high schools and community colleges as part of an effort to change student's perceptions about today's manufacturing environment and draw attention to the outstanding opportunities that a career in state-of-the-art manufacturing can provide.
Planned activities include guided tours of GK Machine's state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, where students can meet directly with engineers, machinists, programmers, fabricators and others who help design, engineer and build heavy-duty agricultural equipment.
Manufacturing Day is an annual national event executed at the local level supported by thousands of manufacturers as they host students, teachers, parents, job seekers and other local community members at open houses, plant tours and presentations designed to showcase modern manufacturing technology and careers.
