Job description - Mechanical Design Engineer

Full Time - Day Shift - Starting wage $26-$32 D.O.E.

Working as an intricate part of our Engineering team, you will help design, develop, and document GK Machine's line of Agricultural Equipment and Contract Manufacturing (CM) projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Complete detailed design and documentation of GK equipment and CM projects.
• Create/Model part, sub-assembly, and assembly level designs for equipment/projects.
• Evaluate mechanical and electromechanical systems.
• Create and maintain accurate bill of materials.
• Prepare appropriate engineering drawings to support manufacture of parts/assemblies.
• Create documentation for assembly procedures and checklists.
• Support manufacturing process development, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
• Make updates and changes to improve product design, quality, and manufacturability.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Agricultural or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience in mechanical equipment, machine design and manufacturing preferred.
• Working knowledge or experience with 3D modeling using Autodesk Inventor or equivalent.
• Interest and desire to work in a fast paced, hands-on environment with a large variety of projects.
