Job description - Saw Operator / Sawyer - Day/Swing Shift

Full Time ~ Day and Swing shift available ~ Starting at $18 and up D.O.E. ~ 1+ year experience preferred

You'll be working as an integral part of the GK Manufacturing team, the Saw Operator will set up and operate a CNC and manual band saws, both vertical and horizontal, to measure, cut, label, and stage material according to each job's engineering specifications or drawings.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Use specifications defined on the router to determine material type, cutting dimensions, and tolerances.
• Select appropriate blade according to specifications and install on machine.
• Position guides, stops, or other fixtures used to securely direct work piece tools and measuring devices according to standards.
• Measure and sort completed work pieces to verify each piece conforms to the specifications by using various measuring devices including, measuring tape, calipers, square to cut, and miter.
• Process jobs in the correct sequence order, stage accordingly, and label all parts with assigned number.
• Match material received to the delivery packing slips, accepting or rejecting shipments based on quality of material.
• Maintain organization, identify and label all raw materials in inventory.
• Follow company safety practices for operating saw machines, overhead cranes, forklifts and lift trucks.
