Full-time, Entry level, $15 per hour

Job Description - GK Machine, Inc., a local employer, is Hiring! We are building our applicant pool for Manufacturing Team Members. We are a state‐of‐the‐art, team‐based steel manufacturing company in Donald, Oregon. Interns will learn to operate cranes, moving equipment, and production machines. They will also learn and understand all safety procedures, perform maintenance tasks, move materials properly and efficiently, utilize computers to read prints, document job status, and update production times.

GK Machine, Inc. offers a competitive wage of $15 per hour (no experience needed) as a temporary employee with no benefit package. There are potential overtime opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Successfully complete on-site pre-employment assessment, which may include a welding test.

Preferred Qualification:

• Experience or education in OSHA safety protocols
• Experience or education in material handling procedures
• Experience or education in operating an overhead crane
• Experience or education in welding, machining, and mechanical assembly

Physical Demands:

• The physical demands of this position are limited to those found in a normal warehouse/production environment.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to stand, walk, lift, carry, use the hands to manipulate objects, bend, look, and see.
• The employee is frequently required to push, pull, twist, turn, talk, hear, reach above the shoulder and/or outward, and operate hand-held equipment.
• The employee is occasionally required to stoop, squat, type, kneel, and crouch.
• The employee must routinely lift up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment: The work environment is constrained to a standard, unconditioned warehouse and production space. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to floor hazards, machine hazards, and hazards associated with driving a forklift.

Pay Range: $15.00 per hour

Time Frame: 90-day internship, beginning June 2024
