Job Description - Fabricators - Stainless Steel/Aluminum Level 1, 2 or 3

We're looking for hardworking and skilled Fabricators to join our day-shift fabrication team. Whether you're just starting or are an experienced professional, we have a position in Stainless Steel and Aluminum at Levels 1, 2, or 3 that matches your skills and provides growth opportunities.

Fabricator Level 1:

Learn the fundamentals of fabrication while working on various projects to build essential skills.

  • Weld flat and horizontal using GMAW (MIG) techniques.
  • Fabricate using jigs and fixtures.
  • Basic weld print reading and understanding of welding procedures.
  • Sand/grind finishes to GK Grade B standards.
  • Operate tools like the jib crane, cutting torch, and handheld plasma cutter.

Fabricator Level 2:

Expand your technical skills and work on intermediate-level jobs with greater autonomy.

  • Perform all Level 1 tasks, plus weld in all positions using GMAW (MIG).
  • Use layout tools (tape measures, squares, etc.) for intermediate fabrication.
  • Work with multiple materials and adjust machine settings appropriately.
  • Operate essential equipment like sheers and tubing benders.

Fabricator Level 3:

Take on leadership and advanced fabrication responsibilities with minimal supervision.

  • Perform all Level 1 and 2 tasks, plus fabricate complex and tight-tolerance jobs.
  • Utilize advanced print reading and GD&T for large weldments and sub-weldments.
  • Work with dissimilar metals like A514 and 4140.
  • Train and mentor Levels 1 and 2 Fabricators.
  • Troubleshoot issues and collaborate with engineering for process improvements.
